Networking Masterclass 121 Coaching Sessions – build your networking skills

The truth!

We can’t all be expert presenters, with supreme levels of confidence and ‘ninja’ trained sales abilities … BUT, we CAN be comfortable attending a local networking meeting, presenting our business, keeping it simple, and generating business growth, new quality connections and potential sales opportunities as a result.

Why hold your business back by ‘avoiding’ networking – join Stewart “Powerhouse” Leahy in a 2 hour 121 networking masterclass coaching session to learn the simple techniques that will help you become a happy and effective networker!

On average, around 75% of people are uncomfortable with public speaking and will avoid it at all costs!  BUT, the problem here is that we all know that business growth often comes from word-of-mouth, building your network and attending networking meetings (online or face-to-face).  Indeed, LinkedIn research shows that 76% of B2B buyers prefer to work with recommendations from their own professional network.

The background

Stewart Leahy, the founder and operator of Yorkshire Powerhouse has been at the forefront of Business to Business (B2B) networking for more than 20 years in the region … with a vast experience of networking meetings including BNI, 4Networking, Mid-Yorkshire Chamber, LunchNet, Colne Valley Business Association, and many more.

He now runs his own version of Speed Networking meetings called Powerhouse Networking (and more recently, Powerhouse “ZOOM” Networking) which have rapidly become the ‘go-to’ meetings in the region.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will there be others on the session?
A: No … you will receive a private 121 coaching session.  Stewart does offer group and company training on networking skills, please enquire for more details.

Q: Is there a workbook / are there learning resources?
A: Yes … we will provide you with a workbook to help your development and learning throughout the session.

Q: Do I need to prepare anything?
A: No … the session will cover everything, gently and calmly.  We don’t want you to ‘prepare’ anything as we build up your ‘pitch’ from scratch throughout the session … this helps you understand the different elements.

Q: What if I need to cancel my networking masterclass booking once we’ve agreed a date?
A: More than 7 days notice: Our refund policy is simple … if you cancel in writing (email below) more than 7 days before the training course takes place then we will refund 80% of your payment or you can ask to transfer your booking to another date/time and, if there are available places at this alternative date, we will be happy to transfer you without charge or penalty.  This 80% policy means we’re not out of pocket as a result of card processing fees.
A: Less than 7 days notice: If you cancel with less than 7 days notice then there is no refund available – sorry.
By placing a booking, you are deemed to accept these cancellation terms. For all cancellation requests, please email networking@yorkshirepowerhouse.com.

Q: What is the typical ‘size/type’ of organisation that attend a session?
A: Attendees tend to reflect the ‘normal’ business population of the UK with occasional large businesses and the balance being made up of SME’s and sole traders … but with networking training, it’s important to remember that everyone is there for the same reason – to improve their personal skills so we’re all in it together.

Q: I represent a charity/Chamber/Council/non-profit, etc – can I attend for free?
A: Sorry, but no!  Our training courses are open to anyone and you would be most welcome to get involved, but there are no free places available and you need to book on the same as anyone else.

Q: Can I come to one of the Powerhouse Networking meetings once I’ve completed the session?
A: Of course!  You’re more than welcome to come along without attending the training … but the training will help you get the most out of your networking.  If you would like to book a session, here’s the link: https://powerhousenetworking.co.uk/
